The Cair Pull Cord is an emergency alarm device. When the cord is pulled, it sends an alarm to the hub, which then alerts carers and monitoring services. It is typically installed in bathrooms, WCs, or bedrooms.
Pairing the Cair Pull Cord to Your Hub
Open the Access Assure mobile app and go to the service user’s hub.
Tap Add a Device.
Select Cair as the manufacturer, then choose Cair Pull Cord.
The hub will enter pairing mode and display the pairing screen.
Press the button on the Pull Cord device once and wait for the hub to detect it.
Press the button a second time to confirm.
The app and hub will display “Successfully Paired”.
Assign the device a name and room location.
Pairing Tips
Keep the Pull Cord device within 1–2 metres of the hub during pairing.
Ensure the red LED on the device is flashing.
If pairing fails, move the device closer to the hub and try again.
How the Pull Cord Alarm Works
Pulling the cord sends an alarm signal to the hub.
The hub contacts the Alarm Receiving Centre or configured emergency contacts.
A notification is sent to the mobile app.
The alarm appears on the Access Assure Dashboard for monitoring staff.
Removing the Cair Pull Cord
Open the mobile app and locate the device in the hub device list.
Select Unpair Device and confirm.
The device will be removed from the hub.
