What's New

Personal Safety app: server-side fallback alert

For the Personal Safety app, a fallback alert is now raised on the server side if the app's amber process is not resolved as expected.

📋 Customer Impact

Personal Safety app users gain a backstop: if the app itself cannot complete the amber process, the fallback is handled centrally.

Sky Response integration

Added an integration with the Sky Response alarm receiving centre, so alarms can be relayed to Sky Response.

Synergy school transport integration (project-specific)

Added an API connection to Synergy, an internal Access system, for the Synergy school transport project, including zone-name filtering and clearer zone entry and exit events.

📋 Customer Impact

Specific to the Synergy school transport project. Those users can filter by zone name and see clearer zone in and out events. Nothing changes for other customers.

Dashboard and data table improvements

Create dashboards from templates, mark dashboards as favourites, copy a device IMEI or phone number to the clipboard in one click, and reach configuration through a new admin settings menu. Selection counts stay accurate as you page through large lists, and copy respects which columns are visible.

📋 Customer Impact

Faster dashboard setup and less manual work during day-to-day monitoring.

Rio to ROAM device conversion

Rio devices can now be converted to ROAM directly, including multi-target conversions. NB This feature is only actionable by the support team. If you have an estate that you would like updating, please contact your account manager to talk about your estate management and device conversion.

Bug Fixes

Firmware update tracking

Firmware updates now show a clear progress and completion status and report the correct firmware version consistently, including after a device is moved. Updates no longer report as complete when a device was already up to date.

📋 Customer Impact

You can see which devices updated, which were already current, and which need attention.

'Did this update apply' checks are now answered on screen.

Interface fixes

Beacon exports to CSV no longer cut off rows; row double-click and selection count on data tables behave correctly across pages; a session-expiry redirect loop is resolved; creating a user with a name already in use now shows a clear message; error messages display centred.

Improvements

More reliable alarm relay

Improved how alarms are relayed to monitoring centres, including for devices on connections behind NAT (network address translation), so alarms reach the receiving centre more reliably.

Better location accuracy

When GPS or WiFi positioning is unavailable, IntelliCare now falls back to the device's last known location, and failover between location providers has been improved.

Security and platform updates

Underlying components have been updated to address known security advisories, and the core services now run on a current supported runtime. No customer action is required.

Accessibility

Added a high-contrast theme and larger, more responsive touch targets.
