Oysta care buttons are Bluetooth buttons that connect to the Rio device. They offer a lightweight alternative for users who find the Rio too heavy to wear around their neck. Care buttons can also be fixed in locations such as the bottom of a shower tray, providing easy access to an emergency button in the event of a fall.
⚠️Important: Care buttons do not have a fall sensor, this feature is available on a Rio only. Both the Rio and the care button must be used together for the device to work as designed.
Care buttons in Intellicare
Following a recent update to the Intellicare platform, care buttons are now much easier to track. When a care button is paired with a Rio and activated for the first time, it appears as its own device within Intellicare, displayed as a device accessory.
The care button's serial number will also include the IMEI of the Rio it is connected to, making it straightforward to identify which button belongs to which device.
This update also makes it easier to monitor both battery status and usage activity for each care button.
Low battery alerts
Low battery alerts can be configured for care buttons to notify you when the battery reaches 20%, so you can act before the device runs out of charge.
